your instructions are easy to follow, i might try this with my horse!
@legacyfarm : Wow you are amazing, your observation skills are so keen, thanks for pointing that out, I would have never noticed that. Since you are keen and have such a great grasp of horse anatomy, perhaps you could post some of your videos and enlighten the rest of us. And your well thought out comment really appears that you are arrogant and not much awareness of how you come off. Whew, talk about typical self adsorbed horse owners. Sorry no one has pointed this out to you yet.
Good video and instruction. Have you not noticed what is between his legs the entire time you are working with him??? Talk about awareness of the horse. I’m sorry nobody has brought this to your attention. If I did this video I would be mortified and immediately take it off and do another one.
Makes me wonder if he is drugged or just amorous. Katy
How do you teach your horse to nod like at the end of the video? I imagine it wouldn’t be as hard but I really want to know how.
i have tought my pony to bow and she does it perfect time im under her and lifting her leg but iv done it a thousand time and she still wont even lift her leg her self.were not progressing?
Thats a very – happy – horse lol….
Cool trick – now I have to go try it with my horse
Ive started teaching my pinto mare to bow, and shes caught on pretty quick. The only problem is that she stops wth her head down and her leg picked up. She doesnt actualy extend her one leg, drop her body, and kneel on her other leg. Ive tried helper her by pulling her leg back, but shes strong and resists. Shes very willing and we have a great bond, but I cant get her to bow all the way. Do you have any tips?
@myponythebestforever : You are turning you back, you going too fast, you are not ready to give the carrot immediately so the horse learns the right answer, you are in a small enclosed area this makes the horse nervous. Your hose is trying really hard but is confused so you need to figure out how to be clearer and help your horse understand, small easy steps and slowly move forward.
i want mine to lie down but i am to scared if i hurt him. Will you please look at my video of my horse bowing and comment please because i think i need a few tips thank you
I have a three year old miniature horse who has just gotten pulling a cart to perfection. He is so smart that I now want to teach him tricks. I enjoyed your video and I intend to start today!!
im israeli,
i see many arabs bringing horses in wedding to dance—>one time i go to my freind’s house from the army and saw his reltive teach a horse trick with a log and stuff: the most sad thing i ever saw!!!
hahaha thats so awesome!
@truefirehorse my mini stallion drops when my mare is in season and when he is relaxed
hes definately relaxed
outstanding! not so much the trick but how relaxed you and the horse are together. you have any oppinions on imprinting? I am trying it for the first time with a 10 month old colt. so far just lots of handling and such. some basic ground work etc. He is very docile I am not sure if this is a biproduct of the handling or his personality.
time and trust.
great job.. gotta love the carrot system best treats in the world..LOL
I think the ‘yes’ is very cute
I’ll be sure to try this when i get my horse, and the bow.
You ask a little more and give release each try. I like to be able to pet and lay with my horse when they lay down, before I try and get them to lay down so they know it is OK for me to be with them when they lay down.
A horse will drop for many reasons. My horse is relaxed so he drops more. There were mares in heat in the area so that could have been a contributing factor. A horse will NOT drop when nervous, scared or insecure – which is why you may not see it much, since a lot of people don’t know how to get their horse to relax.
Why is his penis down in so many of these videos?
Is he drugged or ??
I am curious and would be embarrassed to do all these training videos with a hanging horse…. what ever the cause I would like to know so as to prevent it with mine.
